Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care team have been working tirelessly throughout out the term to hold events, activities, programs and excursions. We have also been working closely with students and teachers to improve students’ resilience, team work and behaviour.

The Pastoral Care Team were in charge of organising the Clean Up Australia Day activities with the enormous help from Mr. Michael Stapleton and Mr. Cihan Koc this day would not have been possible. Students spent the afternoon collecting rubbish from in and around the school grounds and helped make the school much cleaner. Students also learnt about the importance of “Reducing, Reusing, Recycling and Reminding” ourselves about lowering our waste and the effects it has on the environment.

We have held a Pastoral Care Cup Soccer Tournament between all campuses where Ibrahim Dellal Campus retained the trophy for another year which keeps the trophy at IDC campus for another Semester.

We have had an Excursion to Clip ‘n’ Climb where students were able to challenge their fears of heights and also race to the top in rock climbing activities.

Throughout Our Pastoral Care weekly programs we have been working on improving our students’ behaviour and character building activities. We have held activities such as the Hands free pyramid building race, goal setting and ways of working on the goals, patience, resilience & persistence and also living in harmony with everyone in our community.

Our Quran Classes are continuing on Saturdays at 10:30 to 12:30 for boys from Grade 4-6.

We have now entered the Holy Months and wish everyone a blessed month or Rajab.

MINI CAFÉ!

On Wednesday the 21 of March, the SRC Club organised a mini café. It was a fundraiser for the Good Friday Appeal. The Good Friday Appeal is a charity organised to help the Royal Children’s Hospital. From the mini café we raised approximately $300. It took place in the shaded area in the school’s yard. It went through recess and then we stopped, but continued through lunch.

Here are some of the thoughts of the costumers:

Moosa from 6C “It was very good and thanks for all the people who set up and for the people who donated food.”

Kamal from 6C: “I want to thank everyone who brought the food and set up and that the chocolate balls and hot chocolate were delicious, but the lines were long.”

Zaid from 6D “It was good and the tiramisu was delicious.”
